I design calm, high-performing product experiences that read like a great story.

Product designer focused on craft, clarity, and measurable outcomes. I partner with teams to turn messy problem spaces into systems people can trust—through research, thoughtful interaction design, and scalable UI.

Working style

Clear artifacts, early alignment, and steady iteration. I like to document decisions so teams move faster later.

Process & values

I keep the work structured and human. The goal: make complexity feel quiet—then ship what we can defend with evidence.

Principles
Clarity over cleverness
Evidence over opinions
Systems over one-offs
Accessible by default
4-step timeline
Discover → Ship
  1. Discover

    What’s true?

Align on goals, constraints, and success metrics. Map the workflow and validate assumptions with users.

  2. Define

    What matters?

Establish the information model, prioritize scenarios, and create a narrative of trade-offs everyone understands.

  3. Design

    Make it usable.

Prototype quickly, test the risky parts, then refine into durable components and clear specs.

  4. Ship

    Measure + iterate.

Pair with engineering to QA behavior, monitor metrics, and improve the next release with confidence.

Words from collaborators

I’m most proud of work that helps teams move faster with less friction—and gives users fewer reasons to think.

“Alex brings structure without slowing anyone down. Their artifacts are crisp, and the final UI feels inevitable—like it could only be this way.”

About

I’m a product designer who enjoys the “middle mile” of product work—where strategy becomes interaction, and interaction becomes a system. I collaborate closely with engineering and product, using clear artifacts (flows, prototypes, and specs) to keep decisions grounded and the team moving.

Outside of work, I collect typography books, sketch interface patterns, and hike slow trails with a fast camera. I care about legibility, restraint, and interfaces that respect attention.
